IrfanView is a graphic viewer, it was designed as an application to be used by beginners and professionals. it's a compact, fast and quite simple to use software, what makes of it the perfect application for everyone.
It's freeware, but the license is free only but non-commercial use.
New features on version 4.2 include a new thumbnail option, and a thumbnail tree menu. it also offers some new hotkeys as to add canvas, creating a new image, fitting a window to an image, etc. The latest version also includes an option to save when exiting, and supports WSQ, EXR, and MAG format.
Moreover, a wallpaper menu is now available, and a multi-page image menu are also some of the features added on this version.
There are a number of features which have been enhanced by adding new options: the capture dialog, the full screen, the slide show, the custom selection dialog, JPG IPTC/comment dialog, and the zoom feature.
Finally, GIF's animation can now be played in full screen mode, and the thumbnails can be manually sorted.
The software's editing capabilities cannot be compared to those of more complex editors, but still is a great graphic viewer, simple, fast and light. |
